Meet Amanda

Hello, I’m Amanda Carleski, a communications and marketing professional dedicated to using strategic storytelling, thoughtful design, and community-focused engagement to connect people and organizations in meaningful ways.
I bring a strong academic foundation and professional certification to my work. I earned my Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Indiana State University, equipping me with a deep understanding of public sector structures and community impact. I also hold a B.A. in Communications from the University of Toledo, and I’m a Professional Certified Marketer (PCM) through the American Marketing Association. My involvement with the AMA extended beyond certification — I proudly served as Vice President of Membership for the AMA Cincinnati chapter, where I helped grow and engage the local marketing community. I am also a 2021 graduate of the Clermont LEAD Academy, a leadership development program through the Clermont County Chamber of Commerce, which strengthened my understanding of local government, economic development, and community collaboration.
Professionally, I’ve led communications and marketing efforts across a variety of organizational contexts. I currently serve as the Director of Communications at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Crestview Hills, Kentucky. In this role, I oversee the development and implementation of communication strategies that support the church’s mission and strengthen its connection with members and the wider community. My responsibilities include managing branding, digital content, campaigns, newsletters, storytelling initiatives, and website development.
Previously, I served as the Marketing and Events Manager at the Covington Business Council (CBC). There, I was responsible for creating and executing integrated marketing campaigns, managing social media and advertising strategies, designing collateral, and producing high-impact events that elevated CBC’s profile in Northern Kentucky’s competitive business landscape. My time at CBC honed my ability to think strategically while managing multiple projects in fast-paced environments.

Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, I’ve lived on Cincinnati’s East Side since 2018 and have developed a strong appreciation for the region’s blend of community spirit and innovation. I love building community and thinking creatively to solve problems — whether that means developing an outside-the-box campaign or finding a new way to tell a story that resonates. Graphic design and web design are true special interests of mine; when I’m immersed in a creative project, time seems to disappear.
As a neurodivergent professional (autistic and ADHD), I bring a unique perspective to my work. My ability to hyperfocus, spot patterns, and approach challenges from unconventional angles often leads to fresh, innovative solutions.
As I look toward the next step in my career, I’m eager to bring my communications expertise, strategic mindset, and creative problem-solving to a city or county government or mission-driven nonprofit organization. I’m passionate about work that strengthens communities, fosters transparency, and helps organizations communicate with clarity and impact.
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy exploring Cincinnati’s coffee scene, working on creative projects, and finding new ways to connect stories and people.
